This six-level course was developed with contributions from primary school teachers and education officers in ten Caribbean countries. The outline for the course was designed by selecting topics and themes common to all the syllabuses in the region, including the Primary Education Project material. This book focuses on the local community: different types of community, change in the community, work and communication, and comparison with other communities. A teacher’s guide accompanies levels 1-3 and another covers levels 4-6.
